Singer-songwriter and guitarist Thom Swift brings powerful sound to the Playhouse

Multi-award-winning singer-songwriter Thom Swift will perform at the Fredericton Playhouse on Friday, October 28 at 7:30 p.m. in support of his latest album, The Legend of Roy Black.

With more than 25 years experience recording and performing across Canada, the US and Europe, this skilled singer-songwriter and guitarist always shoots straight to the point with his writing. His voice and music are unique and powerful, and he is the recipient of numerous East Coast Music Awards.

Swift has shared the stage with noted performers such as Rosanne Cash, John Hiatt, Bill Frisell, John Mayall and Pinetop Perkins. He is also a co-founder of award-winning folk-blues-jazz group Hot Toddy Trio, which has performed at prestigious music festivals worldwide, including Fredericton’s own Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival.

Released in June, The Legend of Roy Black is Swift’s fourth solo release. The 10-song folk-roots recording features Swift on guitar and vocals, accompanied by a stand-up bass, mandolin, violin and banjo.
