6 Guitars inspires audiences to fall in love with music all over again

29. 6 Guitars

Coming to the Fredericton Playhouse on Wednesday, April 27 at 7:30 p.m., 6 Guitars is a pitch-perfect blend of music, comedy and characters.

Performed by musician and actor Chase Padgett, the show started out touring the fringe festival circuit in 2010. Since then, 6 Guitars has travelled internationally, broken attendance records and received high praise from critics.

Padgett delivers a virtuosic performance as he transforms into six different guitar players, each with their own distinct voice, views and musical style, including blues, jazz, rock, classical, folk and country. Over the course of the show, each character shares their journey with music, from discovery to mastery, through a series of songs and stories that will leave audiences laughing, crying and falling in love with music all over again.

Following the performance, ticketholders are invited to stay for an Experience More! Conversation with Chase Padgett. Moderated by CBC’s Christine McLean, this conversation will add depth to the performance by exploring Padgett’s background and artistic process.

Presented as part of the Fredericton Playhouse’s Spotlight Series, 6 Guitars is a Pay What You Will show, a new pricing idea offered on select Playhouse performances. This initiative was introduced with a goal of increasing access to Playhouse programs, and encouraging patrons to take a chance on new and exciting performances. Tickets for 6 Guitars are available through the Fredericton Playhouse box office by calling 458-8344.
