Fredericton Playhouse 2016-2017 Kidstage Series features three captivating performances

The Fredericton Playhouse is pleased to announce its 2016-2017 Kidstage Series, featuring three captivating performances for children and their families.

Designed to capture the imaginations of children, the Kidstage Series is the perfect way to introduce young audiences to the magic of performing arts. Featuring theatre and musical performances, the 2016-2017 Kidstage Series will allow families to create lasting memories that children will treasure for years to come. Tickets for all three shows are on sale now.

The series will begin on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 with DuffleBag Theatre’s latest production, ’Twas the Night Before Christmas. An annual favourite at the Playhouse, DuffleBag will present this classic story with lots of fun twists along the way, featuring spontaneous fun and audience involvement.

On Sunday, February 26, 2017, Lightwire Theater will bring their charming show Moon Mouse: A Space Odyssey to the Playhouse. This special Pay What You Will show showcases Lightwire’s signature electroluminescent artistry, poignant storytelling and imagery-evoking music score. Moon Mouse tells the story of Marvin, a mouse who longs to be a hero, and ends up taking the space adventure of a lifetime.

Finally, accomplished musician Guy Davis will bring his Routes of the Blues show to the Fredericton Playhouse stage on Sunday, April 9, 2017. Known as an “ambassador of the blues,” Davis has performed for audiences around the globe. Children and their families will gain a deeper appreciation for the blues thanks to Davis’s immense knowledge and impressive musicianship.
