18. Tim Hus

A true cornerstone of authentic Canadiana, musician Tim Hus will perform at the Fredericton Playhouse on Thursday, February 25 at 7:30 p.m.

Part of a new generation of Alberta-based songwriters who were nurtured on country music from the 1960s and ’70s, Hus is blessed with a gift for storytelling that makes audiences sit up and pay attention. He is a musician who takes the history of Canada seriously, with songs that capture the pioneering spirit that motivates and inspires truck drivers, miners, rum runners, trackers, men of the sea and vagabonds.

Inspired by legends like Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson, and having performed alongside the likes of Corb Lund and the late Stompin’ Tom Connors, Hus takes great care in developing songs with clarity, keeping listeners connected with images and emotions of his stories.

In the words of Stompin’ Tom Connors: “I’ve been looking for 30 years for a young guy who’s proud to write songs about our country. I’d like the pass the torch on to Tim Hus.”

Tickets for Tim Hus are available through the Fredericton Playhouse box office by calling 458-8344, or online at
