Coming to the Fredericton Playhouse on Sunday, January 31 at 2 p.m. during Fredericton Frostival, violin sensation Chris McKhool will have families dancing, clapping, laughing and singing songs with his fun performance, Fiddlefire!

A Juno-nominated children’s performer, McKhool will introduce young audiences to rare percussion instruments from around the world during this engaging show. Children will enjoy a wide range of musical styles, from jazz and blues to funk and East Coast fiddling.

For the past two decades, McKhool has toured across Canada, and has also appeared on Mr. Dressup, YTV’s Treehouse and the CBC. During Fiddlefire!, McKhool will share his love of the violin with his audience, inviting families to join him in creating music.

Presented as part of the Playhouse’s Kidstage Series, Chris McKhool’s Fiddlefire! will launch Pay What You Will, a new pricing idea offered on select Playhouse performances. This initiative was introduced with a goal of increasing access to Playhouse programs, and encouraging patrons to take a chance on new and exciting performances. Tickets for Chris McKhool’s Fiddlefire! are available through the Fredericton Playhouse box office by calling 458-8344.
