Blind Faith Productions and the Fredericton Playhouse are pleased to announce they will be presenting Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat on August 28 at 7:30 p.m., and August 29-30 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the Playhouse.

A dazzling, family friendly story, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is the first musical by legendary theatrical team Sir Andrew Lloyd Weber and Tim Rice. This colourful retelling of the  biblical  story  about  Joseph,  his  prophetic  dreams, his wondrous adventures and his designer coat sings out  to young and  old  alike. The score includes a variety of musical styles and wall-to-wall hits, including “Close Every Door,” “Go, Go, Go Joseph” and “Any Dream Will Do.”

With  direction  and  musical  direction  by  Shawn  Henry,  this  production  of Joseph will return to the roots of the original performance and incorporate a children’s choir as an integral part of the show. This choir will be formed during the Go Go Go Joseph Summer Camp, which will combine three artistic disciplines – singing, acting and movement – into one exciting course. These classes are designed for both beginner and experienced young actors, offering fun and challenging exercises to hone performance skills and provide valuable insight into what to expect when auditioning for musicals.

Participants age six to 12 are invited to register for the two-week camp, taking place from August 10-14 and August 17-21 at St. Thomas University. The camp concludes with a third and final production week from August 23-30, when participants will perform in Blind Faith Productions’ presentation of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Playhouse. For more information about the Go Go Go Joseph Summer Camp, visit bit.ly/1JQ3mhM.

Blind Faith Productions is also holding auditions for performers of all abilities, ages 15 to adult, on Wednesday, June 17 from 6-9 p.m. Auditions are by appointment only – contact Shawn Henry at dreamcoat2015@yahoo.ca or 999-4311 to reserve your spot.

Tickets for the performance of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, running August 28-30, are available through the Fredericton Playhouse box office at 458-8344 or online at www.theplayhouse.ca

I have a blind friend who loves the music from this production. Do you sell a CD of the music ?

No, I’m afraid we did not produce any recordings of this production.
