International success Bowfire is an exceptionally high quality music experience and fast-paced theatrically staged show. Coming to the Fredericton Playhouse on Wednesday, April 2 at 7:30 p.m., this is truly a must-see performance.

Considered the total string sensation, this show features the finest lineup of fiddle and violin musicians ever assembled together on stage. Bowfire takes audiences on a musical journey that moves seamlessly from styles like jazz and classical to bluegrass, rock, Celtic and everything in between. Combined with incredible step and tap dancing, beautiful vocals and first class production values, this is a spectacle like nothing you’ve ever seen.

Bowfire is an all-star show – aside from amazing vocal talent, performances feature great sound and choreography, as well as dramatic lighting, set design and costumes.  Established in 2000 by acclaimed violinist Lenny Solomon and directed by Broadway’s Stafford Arima, the Bowfire company consists of virtuoso string players at the forefront of their respective styles, who are also world-class step dancers and tap dancers. These performers are joined on stage by equally gifted backup musicians.

The Bowfire show in Fredericton will feature a number of respected and well known musicians and performers, including fiddling and step dancing superstars Stephanie Cadman and Linsey Beckett, award-winning fiddler Shane Cook and fiddler Miranda Mullholland, who’s also a member of acclaimed bands Great Lake Swimmers and Belle Starr.

Hailed as “enormously entertaining” by the Washington Post and “high-energy entertainment” by the Globe and Mail, Bowfire has earned standing ovations and repeat bookings world-wide. This is a one-of-a-kind performance that will blow audiences away.

Tickets for Bowfire are available through the Playhouse box office 1-866-884-5800, or online at www.theplayhouse.ca.
