Sister’s back in the classroom for Late Nite Catechism: Summer School

by on January 8, 2014

Back by popular demand, the hilarious Late Nite Catechism returns to the Playhouse stage on Friday, January 24 at 7:30 p.m. with a brand new lesson from everyone’s favourite nun.

Summer School is the latest instalment of the popular series, and this time around, Sister is back in the classroom to focus on some warm weather topics. She’ll be touching on everything from baseball, summer blockbusters and trashy summer reading, to staycations on a budget, vacations in the rectory and the best way to make use of your summer season.

This show is part catechism class and part stand-up routine, with jokes that can be appreciated by audiences of all religious backgrounds. The audience becomes part of Sister’s class, as she takes you back to the days of Latin Mass, meatless Fridays and a ruler across the knuckles.

The New York Times calls this interactive show “hilarious, well-written and inspired.” Jeffrey Lyons from TV’s Sneak Previews says Late Nite Catechism is “something to savour and enjoy…one of the most intimate, rewarding shows in town.”

God never takes a vacation, and neither does Sister. This is one class you don’t want to miss!

Tickets for Late Nite Catechism: Summer School are available at a discounted group rate through Spinzo at Tickets can also be purchased through the Fredericton Playhouse box office 1-866-884-5800, or online at
