You can share the stage

by on November 19, 2013

The feeling you experience when you sit down to watch a performance at the Fredericton Playhouse is truly magical. The wonders of song, dance and theatre are capable of transporting you to another time or place, and can provide an exciting escape from the peaks and valleys of everyday life.

However, many individuals don’t have the opportunity to enjoy these live performance offerings, limited by economic or social barriers beyond their control. With this in mind, we deliver an innovative series of education and outreach programs to ensure the arts are accessible to everyone in the Greater Fredericton area.

As a non-profit, charitable organization, this is only possible through the support of our donors – the Friends of the Fredericton Playhouse.

When you become a Friend of the Fredericton Playhouse it allows us to:

Distribute complimentary and discounted tickets through the Arts are for Everyone program to organizations and agencies working with families and other individuals who experience a range of barriers to attending arts performances;

Welcome students to the Playhouse for bus-in matinee performances through our School Programming series;

Hold Beyond the Stage performances for students and seniors, taking the stage to the community.

Your donation will have a major impact on real people in our community – we see examples of this every day. Our programs made it possible for a struggling single grandmother raising her 10-year-old granddaughter to bring this child to the Playhouse for the first time and experience the joy of live theatre. A client of the food bank received a ticket to a show for her birthday as part of our Food for the Soul initiative, and remarked “that was the best birthday I’ve had in a very long time.” Our Friends made this possible.

Please share the stage and become a Friend of the Fredericton Playhouse by donating today.
