Who’s Next at the Fredericton Playhouse!

by on January 17, 2011

The Fredericton Playhouse Spotlight Series is pleased to present THE concert event for The Who fans. Join us Friday, January 21 at 8pm for another jaw-dropping performance by Classic Albums Live as they recreate Who’s Next by English rock band The Who.

Who’s Next, the fifth album by The Who, was described as intending to be a futuristic rock opera and immediately recognized for its dynamic and unique sound. The album opens with the innovative “Baba O’Reilly” and other signature tracks include the ballad “Behind Blue Eyes”, and the album’s closing song, the epic “Won’t Get Fooled Again”, as well as fan favorites such as “Bargain”, “My Wife” and “Going Mobile”. In 1990, The Who were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame where their display describes them as “Prime contenders, in the minds of many, for the title of World’s Greatest Rock Band.” No other group has ever pushed rock so far, or asked so much from it!

Classic Albums Live takes classic albums and recreates them note for note and cut for cut. Founded in 2003 by Craig Martin, Classic Albums Live has become the ultimate experience for music lovers wanting to hear the greatest albums performed live without all the gimmickry and cheesy impersonations. Relying only on the music, and using what Martin refers to as “the world’s best musicians”, Classic Albums Live has defined itself as a mainstay in performing arts centres across North America.

Tickets for Classic Albums Live: Who’s Next are available at the Fredericton Playhouse box office 1-866-884-5800, or online at
