SONIC CONCERTS presents Trooper in Fredericton, Sept. 9

Celebrating their 35th anniversary, multi-platinum selling Canadian rock legends Trooper will perform at The Playhouse in Fredericton on Thursday, Sept. 9 at 8 p.m.

With ten studio albums to their credit, Trooper won a JUNO Award for Band of the Year and their six times platinum selling greatest hits album Hot Shots remains one of Universal Music Canada’s best selling catalogue CDs of all time.

Best known for hits such as “Raise a Little Hell,” “We’re Here for a Good Time (Not a Long Time),” “The Boys in the Bright White Sportscar,and “Pretty Lady,Universal recently released Hits From 10 Albums on June 29.

The band includes Ra McGuire (vocals), Brian Smith (guitar), Gogo (keyboards), Scott Brown (bass) and Clayton Hill (drums). 

The Vancouver Sun said, “Canadian rock heroes of the first order…the best performing band in Canada.”

Joel Rubinoff of The Record said, “…this frolicking, rollicking showcase for McGuire’s soaring pop melodies and whimsical wordplay is arguably one of the biggest Canadian bands of all  time.”

Trooper kicked off their 35th anniversary as a band with a nationally broadcast performance during the 2010 Vancouver Olympics Victory Ceremony on February 21.

Tickets are $39.50 in advance and $44.50 day of show (including tax) and go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m.
