The Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival is calling for visual and fine-craft artists to help celebrate the 20th anniversary of the event.

Organizers are looking for artwork inspired by the music, musicians or flow of energy of the festival. Artists are invited to interpret this theme using any medium and practice. Some of the submitted pieces will be on display at The Playhouse over the course of the festival weekend – Sept. 17-19.

The goal of the exhibit will be to expose the Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival’s audience to the work of New Brunswick artists. The artwork will be sold during a silent auction. Artists will be guaranteed to receive at least the wholesale value of their work. If the bids don’t cover that amount, the work won’t be released. Artists may apply by submitting digital samples of their work, a CV and/or artist statement and an expression of interest, stating why they are interested in participating in the project to Sonya Hull at and Kate Rogers at The deadline for applications is June 15. Successful artists will be notified by June 30, and completed work will be expected by Aug. 15.
